HUDSON OPERA THEATRE Jasper Francis Cropsey: “Autumn on Greenwood Lake”

Joseph is excited to make his Hudson Opera Theatre debut in Carmen with the roles of Morales and el Dancairo. Joseph will also be singing in Hudson Opera Theatre’s Madama Butterfly in the role of Sharpless. Joseph recently performed in Bronx Opera’s production of The Consul as the Secret Police Agent. He was selected as a finalist for the Ithaca Opera competition and placed second in the first round of the 2019 Classical Singer Magazine Competition and will be competing in the finals in Chicago at the end of May. Joseph sings regularly for the Bedford Presbyterian Church as a concert soloist. Last year Joseph performed with the Lighthouse Opera company in their production of Susannah as Mr. Mclean as well as with Twisted Opera’s production of Turandot as the Mandarin and Ping. He placed 3rd in the New Jersey State Opera Vocal Competition and was a finalist in the New Jersey Verismo Opera Competition. Joseph begin his vocal studies will studying Art History at SUNY Purchase however he had put his aspiration on hold up until a couple years ago. He has now been focusing his efforts tremendously with great success. He currently studies voice with Braeden Harris and coaches with Susan Morton. Joseph originally hails from Dingmans ferry, Pennsylvania and currently lives in Bronxville, New York with his wife, Nicole.
